Kindergarten Writing Folders

Description

Help your students to become little authors and independent writers with these writing folders and reference pages. Create mini offices so your students have all the sounds, handwriting tips, and sight words right at their finger tips.

Writing is the most difficult thing we ask kids to do. They have to take all of their phonological and phonics knowledge, form an idea, and then get it onto paper with their fine motor skills. They can quickly become frustrated. But writing folders are a great way to provide support when you can't sit next to every individual student while they try to write.

Print these pages to use inside a 3 ring binder or glue them into a file folder to create a mini-office and reference station. This provides students the supports they need without having to search around the classroom. It is difficult for kids to copy things from the board or from the sound wall across the room. When you give them a mini word wall at their desk, they are more likely to be successful.
