Description
This resource has self regulation worksheets, tools, and visuals to help young learners to learn how to self-regulate their feelings and show self-control with behavior choices. Teaching young students with special needs to self-reg can be a challenge. This resource has print & go materials and activities to provide visual supports when teaching a child to regulate his or her emotions and behavior. These self-regulation tools are great for special education and ESE classrooms to assist with teaching social skills and promoting positive behaviors.
This self-regulation resource includes kid-friendly visuals like a self regulation scale, emotion choice chart, social stories for how to cope when a student’s body/energy is running too high, just right, & too low, cut and sort emotions worksheet, and a student self-regulation self assessment you can use for documentation purposes or to communicate with parents. The scale & emotions chart could be printed individually or enlarged to be poster-size. I included all pages in color and black & white for your convenience.
